It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, wouldn't you say so??? I wish I had a month off - well, in honesty, I wish I had every month off - but wouldn't it be nice to have off of work the entire month of December? You could go to every single holiday play, shop at all the stores and take your good ole' time, bake all of those cookies that are so wonderfully delicious???? I know, I know...that's what we'll do once we retire, right? ha!!!!!

We pick up Pat tomorrow and are very excited for him to be home a month! I have lots of things planned and don't want to get myself too anxious! Do you think he'll bake a few cookies with me? Will he go bowling with me? (that's our term I use when I need a little Peanut time!) I'm sure it will be fine. I have to get back to my cooking - the boy likes to eat. Does that mean I have to grocery shop also??? Errrrrrrrrrrr

Ho ho ho, and all of that Santa stuff to you all!

A very dear old friend of mine, lost her husband of 31 years last Thursday. They were a true love story; I was in their wedding. I saw it firsthand - their sweet story at the very beginning of their love affair. Madly in love 20 year olds... sweet, loving, innocent - young married life...then a baby boy, followed quickly by another baby boy... life, more life, happiness, busy raising two little boys, more happy times, both of them hard at work building a family business, lots more happiness, closeness, best friends...now he's gone.

My heart aches so much for my friend. Please, please say a prayer today for Joey to rest in peace and for my friend, Suzie. The world as she now sees it, will never, ever look the same...

Roger Miller - King of the Road

Oh how I wish I would have been a teenager in the '60s. They were so cool back then; simple words with great melodies. "I smoke old stogies I have found...short but not too big around..." Cracks me up! Check out the cool walking and dancin' down the blue road at the end. This is so great! Thank you internet, over and over again, for YouTube! I love you.

30 degrees tonight??? Say what????

It's chilly out; the heat turned on last night; I have a notion to bake pies...

It was cold on the beach yesterday...

What's up with that?

What happened to the summer? I love you and now you're gone...

Stay tuned for more pictures of freshly baked pies. I'm hunkering for some cherry.

Sound ok???

Ohhhhh, I love this picture!

Pat and Jordan, his cousin, born only 5 days apart... I love them so much. Etown played Jordan's school, F&M. What fun we had! Such a nice day. And then this happened...

Pat had his first collegiate homerun; GO PAT! I was so happy for him! Icing on that delicious cake...

The dawn sky...

These shots were taken while letting the dogs in the backyard the other morning. It was about 6:15 a.m. or so, I saw that sky and quickly grabbed the crappy Sony that was sitting on the table. We're lucky; the free show every autumn in the sky is upon us...make sure you watch it! Daily shows, every morning and early evening!

It's coming quickly...

It's soon time to take the screens out of the windows; move that chair and clean up behind there; turn on that crock pot and look up some interesting soups and stews; bake that pumpkin bread that wakes the senses... While I'm sad that summertime is behind us, I must admit that I'm looking a little forward to the autumn dusk sky that I love so much and to jeans and sweatshirts - one of my favorite things!

Pat had his first Fall Ball game yesterday and the weather was simply scrumptious! It was a picture-perfect day to sit in the sun and enjoy a game.

I look forward to my fall and winter projects around the house - rocking loudly to my iTunes on the computer while filing away scrapbook items for Pat; categorizing my many picture albums; bringing out the winter wears and donating things I haven't worn or used in several years.

Happy Fall everyone and enjoy every single solitary minute...
Take a walk and soak it up...

Life at the beach...

It's my first ever two-week vacation! I'll never want to go back to work! The weather has been perfect so far; it's just been GREAT! Today, I read "Skinny Bitches," at the pool and swam so much - got lots of exercise! It felt great! We walked downtown tonight, and just browsed. Caught a glimse of a sunset (we were too late). We'll catch it tomorrow night. There's a great place to see it on the bay - Holts Landing - very close to our house. We'll take the dogs tomorrow, and catch it for sure. And, if you know me, there will be lots and lots of photos! For now, enjoy these... I did a photo shoot of my sister's family on the beach - for their Christmas card photo. Aren't they great???? What a beautiful family. Enjoy.

We're so happy at the beach...

I guess we should relocate, huh?

Why is life great at the beach? Someone tell me, please...

Now I'm back in Pennsyltucky... why???????????

Have a GREAT week and work only as much as you absolutely have to.

Do a happy hour this week; think of me 'cause I'll be doing one too!

Alex, Pat and Danny in our hot tub about 10 years ago... Omg, so sweet...

I pulled into my brother's driveway the other night, turned around and saw this, and said, "Thank God I have my camera" and took this shot... A free light show every night or so...aren't we lucky?

This is me and Danny, about 20 years ago, if you can believe that? He just graduated from college. His blue eyes were breathtaking. I scanned a bunch of old photos for his graduation card and put them all together for him. I hope he liked it! I had fun doing it!

The random photos above are ... just because. I don't really have anything else, so thought I'd post some randomness.

Hey All! Blogging has been slow lately; my bad.I'm the Facebook queen now, so it seems when I get on the computer, I log onto Facebook and catch up, check out new pictures that folks post, and surf around. I'm addicted to Lexulous on Facebook so if any of you wanna play a game with me, please start one with me. Heather, up to it? If so, let me know and I'll send you an invitation!

I'm pretty much sick of the weather and am ready for some real summer temps. I could do without this humidity and thickness; my hair looks like a damn frizzball!

Work is going well and I have a few opportunities coming up within the next few weeks. I'll keep you all informed, as usual! Fingers crossed!

Happy Weekend!

I love these photos...

We took the dogs to the beach for the first time this past weekend, and while Mack was a little hesitant, Dawn jumped in the water, looked around, wanted to drink it up. Basically - that girl just wanted to have some fun! We had a great time with them, and enjoyed the beach all to ourselves! Maybe we saw a handful of people, but that is it. This weekend will change all of that. Oh well, we loved it while it was only ours!

Joe and I also celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary which was HUGE! We cooked on the grill and had some Seabreezes. It was all good! I wanted a wedding cake, that's really all that I wanted, but he put his foot down on that one!

We start Legion this weekend, so look forward to some boring baseball pictures. Oh well, it's my life!

HAVE A GREAT LONG WEEKEND!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Pat!

It was a great day today; we won our regular division games and now go onto the playoffs starting on Thursday. It was Pat's birthday, and what a way to celebrate! And, the weather! Omg, need I say more???? It was great! I had on my number 100 plus sunscreen, and at one point, Lyss and I moved to the outfield under a shade tree to watch a few innings.

We celebrated with Pat after the game, and brought home an ice cream cake. The day was wonderful.

Tomorrow, we play @ F&M. My niece plays lacrosse for F&M and also has a game there the same time Pat will be playing baseball. So, the two cousins, born five days apart, will be sharing a collegiate experience on the same campus.... Weird, huh? Those two!

My glass is very, very full right now... Life is good.... Goodnight all.

Etown vs. Penn State Harrisburg

A bunch of the freshmen got in this game 'cause we beat them pretty big. Here's some photos of Pat; he was just so happy to get in, plus, he was checking out the weeds that need pulled this summer while employed as a second year weed-puller at Penn State Capital Campus...
