From Our Tourny This Weekend...

Some fun pictures! All our boys played well, and we came in Second! What a great weekend for baseball! Enjoy the photos! That's Zack in the dugout, not Pat! Also, you'll never know if those are strikes or hits, huh? Only I know for sure, and I'll never tell! I soaked the white pants overnight, I did everything I could think of, and they are still dirty.... What can I say?

Pet Therapy Again...

I loved the shots I took tonight at therapy; I hope you like them. I just know what's going to happen...I'm getting attached. Barry is the older man in the photo walking with Mac. He gets the biggest kick out of Mac... it's just so sweet to watch. Barry has terminal lung cancer. He's a dear soul, and so easy to care about.... It's not hard to do.... I just won't ever want to say goodbye to him... I just know how hard it is.....

These folks have little to smile about but find such joy in petting a greyhound...
The human spirit never ceases to amaze me...

Wedding Cakes ???

I really really wanted a real wedding cake; I thought about it for weeks and weeks. When I started calling around, and getting prices, they started at $70.00. I settled for this one, and it was quite good, if I say so myself! I just think it's kinda unfair; realistically, we only get one wedding cake in our lifetimes ... My personal opinion is they are too good to only enjoy once!

Tara's Afghan

I just finished the Afghan for Tara's wedding shower; I hope you like it! I was pleased with how it turned out.

OMG WE WON AND PAT PITCHED; NEVER HAPPENS!

Our Raiders did good, really good, and Pat pitched! That's not the best news - The best news is that he didn't bop anyone in the head, no ambulance had to be called (okay, okay, maybe he hit someone in the their back - HEY, IT WASN'T HARD, AND IT DIDN'T HURT HIM; SO HE TOOK ONE FOR THE TEAM, BIG DEAL!)

I think this poor team only won about 5 games this entire season. Just a long season. Some really nice boys, and great parents; I'll miss them. Our last game is tomorrow.
We now go on to Legion which we're hoping will be a little better experience.

GO RAIDERS!

Lovely Springtime!

Are you loving Dancing with the Stars? I really am, and I have my favs of course. I think Apollo should win! He's really, really good, and I really like his athleticism... Very good dancer! Oh, btw, I'd like either Edyda's or Cheryl's body..... I'm in trouble huh?

Do you have a DVR??? Don't feel badly if you don't know what that is. I really didn't even know we had it until about a week ago. I started experimenting with it once I discovered it, and now I'm addicted. I tape everything! I watch all of the reruns of Sex in the City, among lots of other things. Maybe learning the DVR isn't really a good thing for me. Anyway, if you have one, you must learn to use it and start a tapin'! It's really a good thing. It comes with your Comcast box. So very easy to tape things, and I'm really loving our DVR. I didn't think I'd use it but it really is a great convenience. Only problem is, I have so many shows to watch and little time to watch TV!

I have a dilemma coming up. My friend Sue asked me to help her plan the After Prom Party. They had one last year, and it was a huge success. They raised over $4000 and gave tons and tons of money and prizes away to the kids. It's a nice thing, as it attracts the kids to come to the gym, and stay off the streets, doing Lord knows what... Anyway, we started really late; we only had about three weeks to plan the entire thing whereas, last year's group started in November! We managed to get some other moms to help us, and between all of us, in a very short amount of time, we raised over $2000. We're raffling off nice gift certificates and over $1800 in cash!!! Now comes the dilemma: Pat doesn't want me there. He asked me if my Mom went to the after prom party. Uh, Helllllooooo: we didn't have any after prom party where a group of loving, involved parents busted their butts and managed an awesome affair in only about three weeks for their spoiled rotten privileged kids! I have to go. I have no choice. I've been involved from the beginning, and to let Sue down at this point, would be awful. I tried to talk with Pat, but it's not really going anywhere.... Our last conversation ended with an understanding that I'll be working in the kitchen, with the food, and won't be spying on him. If he sees me, he's out of there. I can't win, can I? Aren't there worse things in life?????

Have a great week and whatever you do, enjoy the weather!!!!!!!!!!!
