It's Heeeerrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Yep, it's that time again folks.... Sorry, you're probably saying, "OMG, more baseball pictures; pls spare us the pain." Hey, I have one kid, I have one more year of the insanity I like to call High School Sports, so you must indulge me, ok? Whatever will I blog about then? Oh, I guess more greyhound crap, huh? ha!!!!!

Pat and I are starting greyhound therapy. We're assigned a mental facility in downtown Harrisburg. I can blog to you about that, right? Should be loads of fun. Like I told you before, the fun never stops for me! No seriously, it's something I wanted to do for a long, long time, and this opportunity in this facility finally came about for me. I wanted something semi-close to home. I have experience with the mentally challenged folk (I live with Joe), so this should be right up my alley. I have no doubt we'll be fine. Pat's getting community service out of it. You have no idea how much he's looking forward to this...... (yea, right!).

I'll be busy as ever tomorrow! A trip to Lancaster to get my car serviced; Pat's pitching in Boiling Springs, so a year off my life will be used up; then we're headed to Susquehanna Township to see the All Star Basketball, Boys and Girls Games! I don't see enough HS sports, so I felt I should go and do that! Anyway, have a wonderful, terrific weekend!

ps. Don't look at the scoreboard please. Not permitted during Middletown Baseball Games!

A Possible Bunny Obsession????

There's bunnies and Easter decor everywhere you look in my house! I even had to go to my favorite store, Williams Sonoma, and buy this:
www.williams-sonoma.com/products/sku7628514/index.cfm?pkey=ceggcbki

I made a practice run of the cake today, so that I'll get it perfect by Easter. It came out ok, but I did a few things wrong, and now I know. Plus, I made a choc. cake today for Pat, since that's his favorite and want to do a yellow cake for Easter. Oh, and wait until you see my table! I had to go to http://cgi.ebay.com/5-ABINGDON-CHINA-DINNER-PLATES-ROSE-BORDER-JAPAN_W0QQitemZ330099485339QQcategoryZ25QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem for that! I needed more of my Aunt Peg's china, and guess what? They had it on there and now I have a service for 8! Got two plates for $8.00 (S&H included!) Sorry, you have to wait for Easter to see the table! Have a great week, and don't work too hard!

P.S. Ok, the first photo wasn't a bunny; it was Mack.... I couldn't help myself...

DO YOU THINK DOGS HAVE HOMOSEXUAL TENDANCIES????

Let me preface by saying, not that it would matter, but I wonder if our Macky is a little bit gay? Lately, he's insisted that he wear his smoking jacket and even gets angry at me when I take it off of him. Sometimes I actually see him sitting in the corner, puffing on a stogie... Pat and I walk around the house talking to him in our English/Scottish accent...

Maybe he's ok with himself in that coat? Maybe he's ok in his own skin? Maybe it's me who needs to accept him for what he is, and to get over myself???

Hmmmmmmm, Hellllooooo, Springtime is here, the wool smoking jacket gotta go, and, we're sick and tired of talking with this stupid English accent!

Ahhhhh, the weather & Other Stuff

It was simply gorgeous today outdoors; warm and sunny, just happy out. I started walking the dogs the other day, and boy are they happy too! My friend Heather said it perfectly: "It's delicious." I just loved that!

I gave my pups a doggy foot bath tonight; it's officially springtime with lots of mud abound...

Joe and I took a personality test last night. He's a Lion, and I'm a Labrador Retriever... Where do you go with that information????

I'm listening to Cat... Oooh baby baby, it's a wild world... baby I love you.... Funny song, huh?

Enjoy this delicious weather; take a bite out of it if you dare.

Blogging, Surfing, etc...

When I get on the computer, almostly nightly, I first check my emails, then get the latest on Penn Live, make a card if I need to, and then I read Dooce's Blog. I told you about her before, and many of you regularly read it as well. Her link is listed on a side bar in my blog. Very funny blog, with lots of good stuff. I'm rarely disappointed with her posts. Anyway, lately, I also routinely search college web sites, and surf around them. Some of the sites are very informative, and very easy to navigate, easy to find their academics, and costs, etc. Some, however, are horrible. Who in the world designs some of these sites? It amazes me. Tonight, it took me about 10 mins just to find the driving directions to the campus. Now that's just wrong! It's my latest quest and I should only search these sites with a stiff drink in my hand. The costs are unbelieveable! Anyway, can you STATE COLLEGES? Ok, perhaps I can't find the directions to these wonderful little gems of campuses, but I sure do like the tuition costs! ha!

I got bored with the college surfin' and started surfin' blogs. At the top of my blog, you'll see a tab for "Next Blog." I strongly recommend that you surf these some night. It amazes me how creative and wonderful some blogs are. Really, highly intelligent, creative, amazing, adventurous people blog. (I know, I just gave myself a compliment...) Anyway, please surf the blogs some time and see for yourself. Ok, I must warn you that you may come across an occasional blog about cleavages, or party girls, or religious fanatics, but mostly, you'll see folks blogging about fabulous vacations; creating beautiful hand-made jewelry; many international bloggers with interesting stories of their everyday lives which are far from the worlds we're used to; a journey of a young medical student in Philadelphia, and tales of his twin brother, studying to become a dentist... Just really great human interest stories that amaze me every time I surf.

I wonder what they say about my boring, Central PA, blog? Probably something like: The crazy lady with the greyhound pictures... Well folks, here's one especially for you:

No greyhounds in that photo, right? That's Baby Beach, a remote, untouched, breathtakingly beautiful beach in Aruba, with Joe and Pat way out in the water! I thought a picture of a beach, below the equator, where the weather is the exact same every day of the year, 90 something, no humidity, a wonderful constant trade-wind to keep you comfortable, would help you on this 12 degree night.... Enjoy the snow!

Il Divo

Through the years, I cannot tell you how many times I've heard men say that they fantasize about coming home from work, being greeted by their wife in a sexy outfit, with a big, juicy kiss, a candlelit dinner.... blah blah blah..... Last night, while in tub, and listening to my iPod (I actually worried about getting electricuted, but I was ok) .... Anyway, I laughed at loud, listening to Il Divo, thinkin' to myself: I gotta fantasy of my own.... I wanna come home after a long day at work, and standing in my rec room, I wanna see those guys in the photo above - one of them can hand me a pinot noir, I wanna smell something really good cooking, and I want them to sing this to me:

I only wanna be the man
to give you everything I can
every day and every night love you for all my life.
I don't wanna change the world as long
as you're my girl it's more than enough,
just to be the man you love.

I only wanna be the man to give
you everything I can
every day and every night love you for all my life.
I don't wanna change the world as long as you're my girl it's more than enough,
just to be the man you love.

I won't even mind not understanding the part in Spanish; I love all types of food, so I wouldn't care what they cooked for me, not in the least! That my friends, is my fantasy. Simple huh? If you haven't ever heard them, treat yourself to one of their CD's and have a fantasy of your very own, with Il Divo waiting for you after a long day, with a glass of wine, singing you a love song...
