Jens shared a Sarah Brightman CD with me.... it's called "Fly" (ok, maybe he didn't actually share his with me, but burnt me one, don't tell anyone, I think it's a form of piracy or something!) It's a mix of techno, funk, and 80's all wrapped up in one! Jens bought his copy in Germany and says that you can't find it here. Guess what, Jens is right! I searched and searched for it on iTunes, etc., can't find the CD anywhere. There's a song on there, "Something in the Air." Wow, what a great, great song. I'm insane over this song. I think I listened to it about 5000 times. She sings it with: Tom Jones! Yes, Tom Jones, from the 70's!! Omg, this song is so good, and I'd give anything to see a video of the two of them, performing this song. Also, "Heaven is Here." What a beautiful song. I really, really like this CD, and guess what, I'll share it with you too if you want a bootleg copy of it.... We need to share the love of Sarah, right?
I made two copies tonight, for Vic and Carol S., I hope you guys enjoy it.
Vic and I saw Sarah's concert in Hershey a few years ago, and it was simply UNBELIEVABLE. If you ever get a chance to see her, GO. She's very, very talented, and the show is very physical. She did all sorts of stunts and acrobatic-type of things. Very entertaining.
Anyway, Sarah..... so beautiful, so talented, and has such a beautiful voice....
Here's another one I love from Fly:
Oh you, you take my breath away....
Oh you, you take my breath away.
Yet Another:
Good times, bad times, there's nothing I'll forget
'cause the sun shines on our lifelines
There's nothing I'll regret
Hold me, and feel me, and wrap your arms around,
'cause when you love me, I'm quite clear, that heaven is here.
Hear my confession, we're meant to be as one
lead me to the mystery, of happiness to come
Touch me, I'll give you, my blessings and desire
'cause when you feel eternal fire...
then heaven is here...
OMG............... What a good song. I'm just jammin' on my iTunes tonight...
Let me know if you too want the love of Sarah, and I'll share it with you....

Hi Terry,
Whoa-- No socker? No baseball? No basketball? No sports at all? Is the world coming to an end??!
Anyway, my favorite song on this CD is "How Can Heaven Love Me" with Chris Thompson (from "Manfred Mann's Earthband") which also features some German lyrics if you listen carefully, the first Sarah Brightman Song I ever heard. I got it from a friend down in Georgia, several years ago, because he knew that I'm a big fan of Manfred Mann's Earthband. Since then I've been hooked with Sarah - I'd really love to meet her in person...
"A Question Of Honour" with it's classical start and the following move to dance / rock music is also a very nice song. It's been written for the Boxing Championchip match between Henry Maske (German Boxing Champion) and Graciano Rocchigiani. Don't remember (or care) who won, though :)
Glad you liked the CD, though no credits to me for copying it, since I didn't do it--- I gave Joe my original and simply told him that you should listen to it first, since people that like Sarah's classical music might not really enjoy this pop record. I also told him that he would suffer greatly if something bad happend to the CD :) I guess he took me serious (as he should!) and I received the CD back the same day! Yet his reaction on receiving this CD seemed rather... cold?
Reading your blog... You sound like I should know this Tom Jones, though I never heard his name before, until I stumpled across this CD in a German record store...
If you liked this CD, you should also check out Sarah's album 'Dive' from 1993.
Joe...cold???? Hmmmmm, he must have been hungry.
You don't know who Tom Jones is? That's too funny. Put his name in a search engine and you'll see a big ole' hairy scottish guy that was a huge icon in the 70's here. I keep forgetting you're from Germany! Take good care Jens!
